Our River, Our Future

Hello all,

Our commitment to preserving the Petaluma Watershed is what unites all of us at Friends – volunteers, donors, and staff members.

While the River is important to us, no two of us have precisely the same relationship with it. We see that as a strength, and we’re celebrating those many perspectives through a new series of blog posts called “Our River, Our Future.”

Every few weeks, you’ll meet someone who has a deep connection to the River: artists, policymakers, educators, environmental scientists, students, and residents who represent the rich diversity of our community. We’ll have a particular focus on the Upper Petaluma River and our opportunity to restore and preserve it. And in early March, we’ll be launching an exciting opportunity for young people to serve as guest contributors.

We’ll be sharing the posts through our website, Facebook, and Instagram to reach as many people as possible.

We’d love to hear what you think, and we welcome your suggestions for people to feature. Reach out to us at friends@friendsofthepetalumariver.org with your ideas and feedback. If you’d like to get more involved with the Friends, we warmly invite you to check out our volunteer opportunities.

As always, thank you for your support – together, we’re protecting the Petaluma Watershed for generations to come.

Stephanie
